Have OU and OSU combined to be any worse...

If Obi didn't get hurt, that team would have been one of the better OSU teams in the past 20 years.

I don't know if I would go that far. He was a good role player that season, but I don't think he would have made a difference and elevated OSU to elite status throughout conference play. That team suffered a few blow-outs that season.

No shot is an exaggeration. Markel has been coming along well, you are obviously forgetting about cobbins, Nash will play the 4 definitely not the 5, heck even shaw showed signs of life last night, gulley returns, i just don't see your logic.

selfish? Penn yes i can agree there. Are you saying keiton shouldn't look to score? If he focuses on distributing more that makes us even worse.

Not change his style. I see a huge difference in 3pt's taken from last year to this year. Last year we played on true post at a time, this year mostly two. We have trapped much much more this year in conference than last year. Seems to me he is willing to change styles.

Ford is willing to change styles or at least try but I'm not sure how effective his changes are. I'm not sure how Nash will take to the 4, he's built to play it in college and is strong enough but his future paycheck will be at the 3. It will take some buying into it for him to be a successful big 12 four.

Since Ford took over he continues to go with small lineups. Franklin at the 4, Obi at the 4, Olukemi at the 4. And I am not forgetting about Cobbins or Shaw. Shaw hasn't shown anything. Thompson and Shaw could compete for who is the worst player on either team.

Page should look to score but if the option isn't there, he should become a distributor. Balbay has locked Page up both times. These are Page stats when someone actually guards him(balbay)...He is 2-15 shooting, with 2 assist and 5 to. Am I calling that selfish...you damn right.

If Johnson and Williams aren't on OSU's team...you think Nash won't be playing the 5??? I guarantee he will at least see 10 mins a game at the 5 b/c Shaw and Cobbins won't be playing 20 mins a piece.

Ford went with a big lineup all year long until Williams got charged. Williams/Moses/Pilgrim played the 4 and 5 all year long, I'd say 95% of the minutes. He did not play small until he was forced to after Williams went down. And Franklin's a 4. Doesn't have the skills to play a 3, so yes, he's small, but he's a 4 playing the 4. Not like Obi, who was a 3 (or a 2) playing 4.

Page isn't a point guard, but he's been forced to because of how bad the other options are. Plus, he's the only guy that can even shoot decently from outside.

So OSU picked up 3 point guards in 2009 class and none of them can beat out Page? That's some poor scouting, or is Gulley's injury that crippling to the PG group?

Think Penn just had an awesome AAU season, and has really sucked this year. Dowell stinks, and Gulley is solid and bordering 'good'.

But, I think Ford threw some darts at the board in the '09 class. Right after he was hired the only guards on the team were Page and Eaton. Eaton a senior, and who knows what Page would turn into. So, I think Ford had to take some chances with some guards, and none of them have really hit, except Gulley...maybe.

But, what if he takes 1 or 2 and Page turns out to suck. Then they're really hurting.

He might be the only 5'9 player in d1 history that wasn't a PG

Franklin is not a 4. If he is..then he's not a d1 player. Ford is forcing him into the 4 position just like how he did with Obi. And with OSU having Shaw, Pilgrim, Moses and Williams...just the fact that Franklin gets several minutes at the 4 proves that he likes going with that small lineup. And he was using Franklin at the 4 way before Williams was suspended. Franklin is averaging 15 mpg in the big 12. Thats only 3 mins less than Pilgrim and 9 mins more than Shaw.

Guess I'll say it again. Franklin is a 4. He CANNOT play the 3, because he can't guard the three. Yes, he's undersized, but he's not being played out of position like Obi was.

Since he hasn't guarded a 3, how would you know that he can't guard a 3.

Well since Ford wont put him on a 3 and he sees him everyday in practice that would tell most people he can't guard a 3
