The ESPN guys down at the Final Four caught up with Coach Kruger for about a 10 minute interview this morning.
They asked him why he left UNLV for OU. He said he'd be lying if it wasn't about the money somewhat. He said he remembered competing against OU back in his K-state days and had tremendous respect for the program. He looked forward to the challenge. He said we had some talent, that the cupboard was not bare.
They asked him what it was like to tell the people at UNLV he was leaving. He said the usual stuff about how great everyone there was and how hard it was to tell the players goodbye.
After that they asked him some stuff about the NCAA tourney this year. He said he really like Butler and he broke down Stevens and Shaka Smart (IIRC).
That was about all the substance of the interview. He's very impressive speaking on the radio, he could easily be a color guy or a play-by-play guy, he's very well-spoken.
