IMO. Wow, James is an animal. If the Thunder don't make a move I don't see them beating the Heat in a series anytime soon. I didn't think losing Harden would affect this team but I think it has taken something from them that they didn't replace.

Thunder is a great team but James and crew are just better.

they lost 4 in a row to the heat with harden now they have lost 2 in a row without harden ..

coaching has a lot to do with it ..... and LBJ is a beast

has nothing to do with Harden.

It has to do with the Thunder not running plays and goign into hero mode against the heat. the heat are too good to do that against.

That and we play tense.

BTW, there is an NBA board

Has Brooks ever drawn up a play?

Yeah, Lebron James is just playing at a ridiculously high level right now. It's his world out on that court right now. Really making the game look easy right now. I don't see anyone being able to stop him in the near future unfortunately.

what Bounce said.

you can't just run iso's against Miami and one-on-one your way to victory. I think Brooks does a horrible job against them. They are too good defensively against the jumper and one-on-one ... making them like the "Anti-Thunder" because that seems to be all OKC will do.

The worst thing that could have happened to the rest of the league, was for LBJ to figure things out mentally. Now that he has gotten the monkey/pressure of " the moment" off his back, the guy is playing at a level rarely seen. Miami will not lose if LBJ and Wade keep it up, and the rest of the supporting cast gives them anything.

they're not "unbeatable". Now I am not so sure Lebron is guardable, but the Heat can be beaten. I just don't think OKC is the team to do it. I think the Clippers have the best shot.

The Knicks match up nicely with the Heat but we'll see. Thunder are too perimeter oriented and soft. They still remind me of those early Dirk Mavs teams that could never get past the Spurs.

saw him at a hotel bar down town on wed night .. and he walked by me

he is huge and not just tall ..

I saw him one time in Vegas. You are right. He's like a house with a head. I remember one of his last years with the Cavs they had him at 250-260 but people that saw him step on a scale said more like 275. He got that much bigger and didn't lose a step. When he came into the league at 18 he already had the body of a grown man which gave him a tremendous advantage. Think of people like Kobe and Jordan, among others, that took time to grow into their bodies.

Saw him when we were both watching Telfair-Livingston play in a summer league game at a Las Vegas HS. Pretty sure we were both 17 at the time, even though it looked like he was six years older.

Of course no team unbeatable. If LBJ tore up a knee tonight in the exhibition, it would be lights out for Miami..... They are playing with a lot of confidence after their run last year, and they added a proven winner in Ray Ray.

I'm personally not sold on the Clips. I don't believe they can beat OKC in a series, maybe not SA. The playoffs are always a grind, and those high flying, fan favorite, dunk-a-thon teams usually get booted once the grinding starts. I would need to see the Clips do it in the playoffs first........

I loved Kobe's tweet last night. There was a picture of Kobe's daughter playing one on one with CP3's kid at all-star weekend. Kobe captioned the photo Little Mamba playing with Little CP3, at least Stern couldn't block it this time.......:ez-laugh::ez-laugh::ez-laugh:

Nothing to do with Harden? The guy is an all-star averaging 26, 6, and 5. I am pretty sure the Thunder did not get better by losing him.

Definitely didn't get better, but haven't been demonstratively worse either.

The biggest bummer about losing Harden is that it HASN'T made that much of a difference. Brooks refused to play him huge minutes with Durant and Westbrook so we really will never know what we truly lost.

Can you imagine rolling those 3 guys out for 40 minutes a game? Crazy.

I also think we see maybe Presti's first major mistake. I think he should have traded Westbrook instead of Harden.

Who says no to Westbrook for Curry? Not only would OKC have gotten a better fit but it would have been cheaper as well. Now you bring Curry, Harden, and Durant. Or what about Westbrook, Perkins, and picks for Curry/Lee? Now you put Lee at PF and Ibaka at C (which is really his true position).

OKC will never beat Miami in a 7 game series as long as you surround Durant with 3 non-shooters for 30-35 minutes a game.

watch out Grace. OKC fans lose their minds if you suggest trading Westbrook. I also think Harden would have made this a better team than RW.
