Hield tops CBS Sports' Top 100 Hoops Players list

Completely amazing for Jordan that he made the list, while Cousins and Spangler did not (but were honorable mentions). At the risk of beating a dead horse, I must say that he is insanely improved.

Thanks for posting, bearcreekfan! The write ups I read are spot on, especially those about Buddy and Jordan.

You're right, Mont. Jordan's improvements since last season have been nothing short of remarkable. He doesn't always get the attention he deserves, because his performances in games are sometimes overshadowed by how well Buddy is playing.

With Khadeem coming on strong of late and Ryan being his usual double-double self, all we need is for Isaiah to find his stroke again.

I think Spangler has a legitimate case to be on that list. He is averaging 11.5 points per game and 10.5 rebounds per game. He is shooting over 60% from the floor and just under 50% from three point range. He has more assists than turn overs, he rarely has foul trouble, he almost blocks one shot a game and he gets about .33 steals a game. The only knock is he free throw shooting needs to improve.

He is doing that on team with some pretty prolific scorers and guys that all rebound fairly well. It isn't like he is the main guy on the team.

I'm surprised not to see Zena Edosomwan from Harvard on the list. This is the guy who had 25 and 16 against us. Averaging over 10 rebounds on a low scoring team is highly efficient.

Is there a better starting 5 in the country than OU?

Great question. OU really needs a couple of the guys off the bench to learn to be consistently productive by March. If two guys were coming off the bench and scoring regularly (while playing good defense and not making mistakes), OU would be awfully good.
