Stats ahoy! Love watching him on the floor.

Buddy is a baller. More importantly, he's a winner. I love his game! His contribution was huge today.

He seems to know to have that quality of knowing the game and doing the simple things

I like his ability to go get his shot in the lane. Rare ability, esp around here lately.

If he keeps up the progression...I think he has a chance to be a first team all B12 before his career is said and done. Kid has shown he has the ability to get buckets...But the rebounds and assists being thrown in also and a major plus.

I watch games now where a player gets in the middle and throws it back out for a three. To have a player that get in the middle and makes shots is big for around here..

He can be a little frenetic around the basket, but once he settles down and learns to finish a little better he will be a heck of a scoring threat.

He is very fun to watch. The local sports talk station had Fran Fraschilla as a guest a few months back and he specifically singled out Hield as a young player to watch in the Big 12. He is going to be a good one.

Really solid game yesterday. Buddy seems to have "it". He is a player.

Coach Sampson had Hollis Price. Coach Kruger has Buddy Hield.

They are obviously different players, but Buddy has that “something” that makes him stand out as a freshman guard, just as Hollis did. When Buddy is on the court, it is difficult to not focus on him.

Hollis Price is the #7 all-time career scorer at OU, with 1,821 points over four years. As a freshman (1999-00), Hollis was the team’s 5th leading scorer as he averaged 7.2 ppg. Currently, Buddy is the team’s 4th leading scorer with 8.4 ppg

Hollis was fun to watch. Buddy is fun to watch.

Hollis was a winner. Hollis was clutch. We will have to wait and see over the next few seasons with Buddy. (Hollis would not have missed that free throw against SFA.)

During his career, Hollis became the leader of the team; the face of the program. Buddy is a vocal young guy, but will he develop into a team leader?

We shall see. It will be fun to watch.

Just another reason to go to the LNC to see the games in person.

Fraschilla said Hield is one of the best on ball defenders he has seen this year. The kid just plays well all around. Props to Jelon and Cousins as well for stepping up on the road as well. Solid future for OU.

Although some may not admit it, I think even the doubters are beginning to see why Coach Kruger put his three freshmen guards through the fire in the non-conference portion of our schedule. The experience they're getting now will prove to be invaluable going forward.

Agreed, another thing that gets overlooked is that Grooms may be more mature and experienced but he's not a game changer. He won't be the reason we win games now, "Three the hard way" will be the reason we win many games in the future.

The kid loves to play the game. He will be a really good one.
