Transfer thread

I haven't seen any of his games, but looking at the stats sheet indicates little-to-no improvement playing under one of the best head coaches in college. It looks like he is dishing the ball well, but just can't shoot. Oh well...not our problem anymore :).
The most glaring issue to me, again, is just a total lack of aggression. He shot his 4th free throw of the year last night in 9 games as a guy that has the ball in his hands A TON. Skill is not an issue, but he doesn’t have the mentality.

It's due to the lack of coaching he received at OU. We were informed of that many times. Once he starts listening to the All-star staff at Houston his potential will explode. ;)

His offensive and defensive efficiency ratings are both way up from last season. But I agree that he hasn't come close to his potential and doesn't seem like he is naturally a vocal leader or aggressive on the floor, and that is tough for a point guard.

Hes JAG.

He definitely doesn't affect a game the way you think he would though with the talent he supposedly has. 1-7 shooting like he was last night will definitely cost them some games in the big 12 in my opinion. I don't think Cryer can score 20+ a night on 6-7 shooting from 3 and bail him out against better teams. I didn't watch the game and I'm sure they coasted in the 2nd half but they lost the 2nd half to Troy by 3 last night. Shead saved Houston many times last year including against OU....I just don't see that type of game from the point from Uzan. Not sure they really have that guy on this year's team.

And way up against who? Without looking them up, I'm guessing they weren't way up in the 3 losses Houston has but I could be wrong.

Updated the Year-to-Date numbers of players with my scoring system:

Comparing that to our roster last year:

Looking at the gap between McCollum and Uzan last year. We had 6 players playing above a 45 score last year ... 9 this year.

Big jumps from players that are needed.
If we look at their improvement in score over last year:
