Other than Ada, how many of you have ever officiated either football or basketball?

I have worked with Ed Hightower on a number of occasion and since I ref college ball for 25 yrs I consider myself somewhat of an expert and Ed Hightower was always a good official and did a good job. T:OU-logo:he few times i worked with Ed I found it to be a pleasure to work with him, that said i have been retired for a number of years and since I haven't worked with him or any other official maybe he should also consider retiring. I didn't see every call yesterday but there were calls at both ends of the court that I would question not just by Ed but all three.

My problems aren't with the calls. I understand he is probably legit since so many coaches and ad's ask for him. My fault with him is the "look at me" attitude he has when he makes the call regardless of if its good or bad. No one should ever talk about the refs. Yet, here we are. That stems from his body language and gestures when he makes calls.

I've been cussing Hightower since I was at OU from '85-'89...that dude has been around WAY too long for my taste

I was in undergrad the exact same time and I agree 100%. Hightower has always wanted to be the center of attention. He is far too old to keep up with these young guys. I honestly don't understand why the officials are so old or why once an official gets to the level of d-1 sports he has a job forever.
