Hornbeak scored 5.1 PPG in 18 minutes, Walker is doing 5.8 PPG in 14. Both are combo guards in my eyes that have fairly adequate strength and driving ability, Walker appears to have better 3 pt stroke. People who said we are losing a decent player were not wrong, and neither were the people who said his production could be replaced, and his role could be filled.

I like Walker, especially his ability to muscle his way to the basket on dribble drives. The kid is a gamer and I believe he'll get even better as his playing time increases.

Walker just looks more like a grown man. He can bully some guards on drives, which ive seen a couple times and I like

I was a big Je'lon Hornbeak fan, but Walker has brought just as much, if not more, to the team on offense with his ability to score in variety of ways.

I also think he is a better shooter. Je'lon shot an unimpressive 22% from three last year. Dinjiyl is averaging 32% from behind the arc, and I believe that will only get better as he continues to adjust to the D-1 game and gets more comfortable in our offense.

The only area I think Je'lon may have had an edge is on defense. He was a better on-ball defender, but there is not enough of a difference in the two to be worried about it.

An unhappy player will almost always be more trouble than he is worth. The attitude impacts practice, team chemistry and everything else. It is too bad Hornbeak didn't like it at OU but it is best for everyone he is gone.

Walker seems very happy to have a chance to play at this level. If I am correct he will be a positive for the team.

Hornbeak was injured and hornbeak's stats were as a soph and your showing walker as a junior.

Hornbeak's injury issues last year were a big factor in his lack of production. Walker has slipped a little recently, and we aren't even in to Big 12 play. Jelon was a guy who Coach Kruger really trusted, especially late in games. I think it's still to be seen if Walker can earn that trust.

How is that JUCO kid we initially had committed doing, and where did he end up?

I think Walker is just as good as Hornbeak. We dont miss him much.

I was disappointed to see Hornbeak depart, but the bottom line is that Hornbeak did not want to be at OU. Dinjiyl Walker DOES WANT to be at OU. I hope both players are ultimately happy with their decisions. At practice and in the games, Walker looks like he is "all in" for the OU team. I have been pleased with his play so far.

Hornbeak and Walker would be nice but I am happy with what Walker brings to the table. Been impressed with his toughness and desire to defend.

I am looking forward to next season when OU has Hield, Cousins, Woodard, Walker, Booker, James, Odomes and Buford available.

You forgot about Alade. I have a feeling he is going to surprise some people.

Talk about quality depth in our backcourt! And, yes, I know Buford is listed as a forward on our roster, but I think he'll play the small forward/wing position instead of the post if Buddy jumps to the NBA. One thing is certain, our coaches will find a way to get him on the court as much as possible.
