How would you feel about a smaller Bball Venue?

is was helen walton and it was not close michael price is up there

I would build a lower level that could hold around 7000 with the ability to expand it.

Don't see any of these ideas ever happening. Joe C. made a horrible mistake spending money on the LNC renovation. Practice facilities are nice but should have built them next to a new arena. A bunch of money actually went in to the LNC part though and it added absolutely nothing.

Build a 10,000 seat basket all only arena. Make it fan friendly putting them on the floor. Make plenty of suites up top so cooperations (who buy lots of season tickets but don't show up) will purchase those instead of seats thus still giving OU plenty of $$$.
Have a club level for richer folks and put fans that will get into the game and show up. Make a student environment that will put them right on the floor.
Make it a distinct building like something e university of Virginia did.
And redo the parking lot making it a heck of lot easier to get out. Work with campus police, Norman police and get them near the building getting traffic out quicker and easier on i35 and highway 9.

I agree. Give WIFI to those that attend. If it still isn't crowded, sell cheap beer. $2.00 a draw in the first half.

There are so many things OU could do but OU doesn't care.

I would only support an smaller new arena if I could be given some assurance that, inside of 12 months after its completion, we'd start seeing weekly threads here about how we need a larger arena.

Otherwise, it's a non-starter for me.

What's the point of free WIFI? The guys sitting next to me at the last game tried to watch the game with one eye while checking their phones for texts with the other eye. I wanted to tell them to do one or the other, but not both. They didn't appear to be drunk, but they reeked of beer and not in a good way. I finally moved to the lower level. If I want to be surrounded by Eau de Budweiser, I'll go to the bar.

Because young people want it. Students that have to come 30 minutes or an hour early for general admission want it. The cost is minimal and a significant portion of fans want it.

Isn't the OU network one of the options that pops up on your phone today? Don't OU students have access to the OU network?

I don't know because I have not been to a game in Norman in well over a decade. I don't get the opportunity but I wish I did.

One of my favorite comments of all time. Well done.

To check for scores and updates from other games instead of watching kids dance to "Moves Like Jagger" (please make it stop) during timeouts or whatever atrocity they roll out at halftime.

Can't OU just permanently hire Red Panda?

I recently saw a rumor about her bowls having magnets. It's like hearing that Babe Ruth hit 714 HRs with a corked bat: it's still impressive either way, but disappointing nonetheless.

I'm probably being somewhat of a Luddite. I love my technical gadgets, but I don't see the need to be connected to the internet 24/7/365.

IOWA STATE has no problem filling a 14,500 seat arena. Drop to the Missouri Valley in all sports that aren't football if you can't fill Lloyd Noble Center. There are plenty of football schools with no problem putting at least 10k in an arena for basketball games. It's not like Oklahoma basketball has sucked for long periods of time... rather 2-3 years. Sounds like SoonerNation needs a gut check... or a small slice of humble pie.

So an Iowa State fan comes to an OU message board at 1 a.m. and trashes OU fans, MU players and OSU in three consecutive posts...

I'll go ahead and assume you're drunk.

You're like Sherlock Holmes

I cant believe this thread has been here for a few days with 2 pages of replies, and no mention of a star wars day. What are you guys thinking? :ez-laugh:

1am drunk posting? While ISU's team this year is much improved, their party game is still slacking.
