hearing about "... and Creighton beat OU earlier this year!"

That OU team in no way resembled the one that takes the floor now. grrrrr

Many teams have a bad loss. It is not that big of a deal and might have helped us in the long run.

Creighton is a historically significant program. We don't hear much anymore about the Chaminade loss. Early losses don't matter much.

Now Boise State is another story.......

I hope the team keeps it top of mind for the rest of the year. It's a great lesson about what happens when you lose your edge.

We lost @ Creighton

Tulsa beat Creighton at home

We embarrassed Tulsa on the road.

It sucks that we couldn't pull it out in Omaha, but anyone looking back at this 2-3 months from now will consider it nothing more than a curious anomaly.

Who knows maybe we wouldn't have made that run in the Bahamas if we didn't lose that game - team could have gone the opposite way but they haven't.

If we play them right now we win by 20+, which shoulda been the result last time.

Creighton played their best game of the year and will not play another this year as well as they did then.

You win the Big XII, no selection committee gives a damn about a November loss to Creighton.

Instead of harping on what a bad loss Creighton was, can we focus on what a key victory that Butler game has turned out to be??

Exactly! The announcers never mention that win, but neither do our own fans.

I don't know what the big deal is when most of those that matter (NCAA committee) will take into consideration it was a very early season loss. OU was still trying to figure out which of many ways it wanted to use its new weapon (TThomas). I think they've figured it out now. :D

It won't hurt unless we have another one. Like to Tech or TCU or a home game against anyone not named KU or UT.

It was the second game of the season and it was a road game. It isn't a big deal
Not many teams would even play a road game that early other than tV games

Stephen F. Austin two years ago and La Tech last year on our own floor were bad losses. The loss to Creighton was on their floor. Huge difference.

Creighton may turn out to be the third in as many years, depends on the kind of season they have. A few quality wins like their victory over a ranked Nebraska team could change that. Having said that, I think more than anything, the loss to the BlueJays is viewed as "bad," because OU blew a huge lead to let them back in the game at the end.

Nothing our players and coaches can do about it now, except learn from the experience. And, IMO, they have already taken the necessary steps to prevent a repeat of that game through a much improved defense and a revamped offense geared to get our post players more involved.

So, in view of the changes and the improvements this team has made in the last four weeks, I agree with those who say the loss to Creighton was not so bad after all.

Vejry few people outside of OU and Creighton fans will know about the blown lead.

Meh, the selection committee will probably not harp long about a road game played in early November. We have plenty of chances to impress before March
