I am very tired of

The only possible effect that this loss would have on us (and it's very unlikely) will be if the committee is determining our resume vs. another team's resume with respect to seeding. For example, if we are neck and neck with Team X for a 3 seed and the resumes are extremely comparable, then there is a slight possibility that this game may come into play....but again, it's unlikely.

It's a bad loss. The thing that makes it a bad loss is that we're a good team, which is nice. If we were 5-4 right now or something, no one would care that we had lost to Creighton. Nothing to do about it but keep playing the way we are now.

Vejry few people outside of OU and Creighton fans will know about the blown lead.

I was talking about the people on this board who see losing to Creighton as a "bad loss."

The point I was trying to make is that it was the way we lost that game more than the loss itself. Blowing a big lead to lose in a close one at the end, always makes a loss harder to accept.

The fact remains, if Creighton continues on the trend they are on, come march they will be listed in the bad loss column for us. They are currently 124 in the RPI. We need them to stay above 150.

Which trend are you speaking of? They've won 2 of their last 3, 3 of their last 5, 8 of their last 11. Their RPI will climb when they enter conference play. Will they win their share in conference? I have no idea, but it's a long season and right now, I think it's tough to say they're "trending" any particular way.

Turns out it was a bad loss. Nothing to do about it now but to keep playing like a team deserving a high seed. Don't sweat the small stuff.

They lost to Ole Miss, Tulsa, and St. Mary's in the last month.

They lost to Ole Miss, Tulsa, and St. Mary's in the last month.

They also beat seven other teams over the last month, including OU (at home) and Nebraska (on the road).

Look, I'm not trying to build up Creighton. I have no idea how good they'll prove to be over the next three months. But neither does anyone else on this board. So I don't understand the rush to proclaim the Blue Jays a bad team and our loss to them a bad one; it's just way too early to know that.

And even if that loss proves to be a bad one, so many here are spending so much time focusing on that one defeat while all but ignoring our wins. For pete's sake, enjoy the ride a little!

Or don't, whatever works for you.
