The best thing that could happen to the team is to have an effective inside rotation of ViVi, KayKay and Treece.

Sherri will have the luxury of plenty of guards if she will rotate them and keep them fresh. Ortiz, Campbell, Kornet, Maddie, Little.

Wild cards could be Carter and Williams. Williams just seems to be a much better player than her rankings. Happens often with a smaller school.

Carter is probably the quickest player on the team. With most newbies it is a matter of catching up with the speed of the game. With Carter it is more a matter of slowing down to the speed of the game.

I have no idea of the speed of the freshmen, but feel Tone is quickest of vets. Carter could start or play a lot of minutes off the bench. To me, everyone except Sharane is a wild card this year. Belive Sharane will be one of the leaders along with kay kay and maddie.

Again, working off the perception that Nicole appears to be a leader of this squad, I don't see her not starting.

Maddie with two injuries and can play 1-3 seems like the perfect off the bench weapon

I haven't seen Nicole being the leader of the squad. I have seen it from Maddie and Kay Kay. Nicole appears to be an extrovert with a fun personality and gets excited during games, but those traits do not translate into being the leader on the bb team. Am not knocking her at all and could be wrong --Nicole could be a leader on the team. Just stating my impressions.

I think Payton Little will be one of the leaders too. She is very focused and a very intense player who will lead on the court.

if you have actually watched the women's team practice you are million times better informed than me.
My view of Nicole of being a leader is purely off the video stuff (all us remote fans have to go on right now with no other info) where her outgoing personality might be more of a factor.

I'm in chicago, anyone else closer would have better knowledge

I hope that initially Sherri puts a premium on defense, rebounding, and taking care of the basketball and awards playing time based upon who performs best in those three areas.

Even if she did I fear that this is would be like Switzer saying before each season that we will be passing more than in the past. Never happened.
As usual, I really hope she does because I think that strategy offers the biggest rewards for the effort invested. Always my top three emphases.
