second - I just don't feel like arguing with idiots. I deal with you legal wannabe bondsman daily also. Jay, Margie and a few others are good folk ... but most of the rest are dangerous with a speck of knowledge. For example - in the morning I will have to remind one of your brethren how a motion to vacate is not some mystical piece of paper and if they keep selling it we will be forced to go to the bar and, once again, turn in more bondsmen for being dumbasses.

I don't like arguing with idiots either. But, you seem to want to keep it up. I cann't spell and apparently you cann't read. I said off duty cops retain many if not most of their police powers. I gave example and reason when they might want to self limit themselves and noted that a dept. may impose limits. I did not say off duty cops were ALWAYS acting as cops. You made that up. I'm right on that point and you are wrong.

I said that most people arrested for a crime are guilty. Most people that get a speeding tickets were speeding. Most people that get arrested for murder did the killing. And that is true for every crime inbetween. And I'm right about that too. I kept detailed records on arrest conviction ratios and for that matter every other usefull stat on defendent behavior and outcomes. To argue this point with me exposes you to the liability of looking really foolish.

I wasn't a legal wannabe. I don't look good in JC Penny suits and couldn't have stood the cut in pay. And I don't claim any broad range of legal expertise. But, I did say this and I will say it again. I knew the area of law that pertained to me and my business better than you.

You seem to want to take a broad swipe at the Bond business and Bondsmen. I'll be the first to admit that it is a sleezy business populated with alot of seedy people and dullards. Polite society, if they knew, wouldn't approve. All it takes is a couple of grand, a couple of days of boring classes, pass a test and you in. Low bar. But, in a narrow vein, it is honorable work. They put their money up and take a risky shot others don't have the stomach to take. They win or lose based on their own efforts and business practices.

On the other hand. I didn't take a shot at the entire legal profession. I was carefull and specific and consistant in my wording. I expressed disdain of large volume defense lawyers. Not all defense lawyers. Large volume defense lawyers. The club you say that you are a big shot in.

I know how you get cases and where they come from and how you dispose of them. It is not pretty. It is not honorable. And it earns you no right to any particular status in society. And since when does being an OU fan have anything to do with liking lawyers.
