I think we'll miss Cade a lot next year

+1

Cade has been our savior this year, for the most part (IMO). Without him, I think we lose at least 3 more games, maybe more. We wouldn't have even been in the game last night without him.

He also bailed us out a few times last year. The problem is he's not good enough to be cast into the role as a star player but that's not meant to be intended as ripping him.

If every player laid it on the line every night on both ends of the floor like Cade, this team would be much better, IMO.

Exactly; What Cade is doing for this team will carry over next year when he is gone.

I look at next years squad w/o having the commits of any PG or C and I'm just not worried about this team next season. I like all the players that are returning next season. We just don't have the experience on both ends this year to dominate any team. I believe, b/c of Cade leadership and hard work, that this team just competes at a high level til the end and hopes for the best. This team could have given up on Nebraska but they didn't and even though they loss they show a lot of heart. They've shown this heart every game.

I believe next year that we will be back to the Sooner ball that we are accustomed too.

When we have the players, things will change?

When we have the right coach, things will change?

Can either change without the other? :woot

Agreed. He's the perfect complimentary player for a really good team but isn't the type of guy to take an average/below average team on his back. Davis sets a great example, works hard, plays hard and is a selfless player. His leadership will be missed.

it's called a clue.

find one.

Ok thanks. Hey, I admire Cade just as much as any other OU fan. I'm just not going to sugar coat it. Cade is not that talented and the role he's been playing doesn't befit his skills. Losing Cade and adding Osby equals winning situation to me.

It's kind of like some are saying...leadership/work ethic will be missed, talent not so much.

Of course he has a choice which role to play on this squad because we have so many other talented options... Oh... Wait, we don't.

Arguing that because he's struggling to be a star, he isn't talented, is so dumb it hurts.

I would say adding Osby and keeping Cade equates to a winning situation. You never want a guy like Cade to be out of eligibility.

Not really what I'm saying. What I am saying is that he wouldn't see 15 minutes a game at a place like Duke/Ohio State/Kansas.

How a guy that's only averaged 7.65 ppg (23.65 min/game), 3 rpg, 1.07 apg, .8 spg and has shot 32% (from what is supposed to be his specialty) for his career becomes a cult hero is what's "so dumb" to me.

If you created a talent meter...1-5, with 5 being a guy like Blake...Cade would be a 2 at best.
