If I were, Kellog, Wyatt, L. Williams and Edwards I would transfer

These young women aren't leaving. They have found a home. They get to go on great trips. This is not the same as choosing a better job. This is actually friends, family, teammates, school and things that do not impact a job. This is getting the things you need to go out and get a job. Going to another school would be a huge question mark.

T'ona is getting better and we need her.

Derica, I still think has the ability to be a better player than Kornett. I am just not sure why she does not play better.

Lanesia reminds me of Gioya. She had some good games and believe she could really be a factor for us. NO ONE is taking the point from Gabbi.

EDIT: Also, believe Maddie can be used in different situations at different positions. I think her playing the four could be really good for her and the team and I believe she could create from that postion, even though not as much as at the point or the two. Still with moving parts, all of the players have an opportunity to be creative.

Shaya may not ever play more than she has but she seems completely engaged in the games. She is always talking to Kay Kay before the huddles and when she comes out. Shaya, I am sure would love to play more, but she also has found a home at Oklahoma. Unless you are unhappy or really think you can play at another school where you will be happy, none of these players seem the type to leave a known for an unknown.

If Zander, Harden, and Jeffcoat left why are you so sure none of these girls will?

Not all that sure. But, Sherri probably learned a lesson on that deal. She cleared out the end of the bench, got hit with a rash of injuries, and ended up using volley ball players.

She probably won't take a chance on that happening again.

All situations are not equal. I have already said why I believe they won't leave, and I would love to wage money on it.

And, Norm, weren't you the one that thought Vivi did not look happy in her freshman intro video. I thought she has looked happy from the beginning and watching all the videos from the beginning to now, I still think that.
For me it is about paying attention to the players, on video and in games.

One thing about this group of girls is that everyone has a real reason they picked OU, dream school for a few, family ties for another etc... Only Kellogg picked OU for reason unknown... If anyone leaves I could see it being Louis, but she's the last player I would want to see go... She'll be needed next season, Treece could leave she's really good and there's a strong chance she'll never get the chance to really shine like she should.

Earlier this year in an interview Sherri was talking about M Treece and said that she really is more of a 4. Said a lot of the skills she came in with compared to Joanna Mcfarland. But they needed her at the 5 this season. So I wouldn't be shocked if Treece starts alongside KK next year.

The Treece situation appeared to be a family decision after they lost their coach at Kansas State. They appeared to fall in love with OU, which may be a big boon. Her sister is 6-6.

So, did you predict Zander, Harden, and Jeffcoat would leave after watching them?

To answer your question, yes, ViVi does not show much emotion like the other girls. Does that mean she is unhappy? I have knowledge one way or the other...perhaps that is just her personality.

Gab I is the point guard and will be for 3 more years.

I suspect that in most games next year we go with 3 guards and Maddie at the 4.Williams, Carter and Ortiz as a group can present real problems for defenses.

Vivi is having a great time and has gotten playing time. She won't leave. I would have said Treece, except that she already has roommates for next season lined up.

Is that due to the players (bigs) we hope come in over the next 2 -3 years?

The present players have been brought up prior to anything happening. That is what I am addressing. WHY do you need to bring the others in? As I said, I am willing to make a significant wager on these players not leaving. And their situations are different from the three you mentioned, my going back to point out the differences is irrelevant to this conversation.

And I just do not agree with you re Vivi and her emotions. Not in the Freshman video and certainly not in vidoes of the team.

Yes.... Kay Kay will leave next year and even tho I don't think Mulkey will start the next 4 years, I think she has a pretty good chance, Sherri likes to go 1 in and 4 out even did it with Paris her 1st year... After giving it more thought, unless We have a big who can consistently face up, then Sherri will more then likely stick to what been working....

I think Nancy is the big who will play face up.

I didn't say Lenesia would take her starting spot. I said she'd take a few more minutes from her than Tt would. Lenesia is not a scorer, the Gioya comparisons are not fair either- She is not nearly as strong as Gioya and that is how Gioya finishes at the rack... Lenesia is a poor mans Eilenberg, if you play her at wing. But at the point? I think she could be an absolute lock down defender on players her size. I think that if she wasn't strictly looking to score -like she often does- she could really excel at creating shots for others- and In the transistion game, she would be a blur. I didn't see her in a ton of true ball handling pressure situations this season so, Idk if she can truly handle that transition. But if she can keep from just getting get ball stolen- I think she could be a very good point guard. Not the total offensive threat that Gabbi is and again, I don't see her taking that spot. But i think its a much better fit for her there, than she is at wing.

Shaya and LaNesia? I haven't seen enough of either to project tomorrow. I get the impression that LaNesia's forte is quickness. I think she came in playing like Gioya. I don't think that fits her. I would probably emphasize the development of her defensive abilities, given her quickness. She isn't going to shoot over anyone in D-1. She may be able to harass, steal, and get layups. I could see her as someone that could be taught to stop the dribbling guards.

I think treece and vivi played big roles, and did very well. No way they transfer.

Who started the Vivi, Treece transferring stuff? Certainly not me.

They are integral parts of the team. Both could very well see a crap load of time on the court next year as starters or the first two off the bench.

Wyatt, Kellog, Kornet and L. Williams, however will not see the floor much.

Wyatt, Kellog and L. Williams, and to a far lesser extent Edwards, were the only ones that I think would ever even have that thought even remotely cross their minds. That's why I started the thread.

Wyatt and Kellog are clearly practice players. That's all they are going to be, especially with Ojmidge coming on and the addition of Penzo next seaason. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if Penzo ended up getting as much time as Wyatt, Kellog, L. Williams, perhaps, Kornet combined.

While Kornet gets very limited minutes, I doubt she leaves as she will be a senior this fall. She also loves her teammates.

Who said anything about Kornet leaving? She's the last person on Earth who would leave.

All I said was she wasn't going to get much game time. She's a Sooner and loves it here.

Let me also add, that give her loss of playing time etc., I think she has held her head up pretty high, has never lost her smile and has been a valuable member of this team, even if it isn't ever going to show in the stats.

Syb has Maddie. I have Kornet.
