It is not unusual or unheard of for coaches in professional and the college ranks to be given a set of goals that they have to meet or to face a potential bevy of front-office demands and termination.
However, that most often occurs when a coach is failing.
I don't think it's time to make it a harsh list of hard demands on Sherri. The program isn't crashing or failing. It's just not achieving at previous levels. It's stuck at a mediocre level.
It's more of a "Hey? We have to do better? Could you sit down with your staff and then us and figure out what we need to do to get back to where we were?"
That should be the tact taken this year, especially since this is they year she is being inducted in to the Hall of Fame and you don't want to do anything to tarnish that for her.
Now, after next year -- if it's like the last couple or worse - that would be an appropriate time, in my view.
