I didn't like the hire at first because I thought we could do much better. But I wanted (still want)the best for us. Now, I'm beginning to feel better. My two reservations are (most importantly) his recruiting and, secondly the money. I dont like the price Joe thought we had to pay, butr I think he was probably right. The present market is bent WAY out of shape as Trammel says.
 
The money should'nt bug you. 2 million is not crippling at all for this Athletic Department or university.

He was making 1.1 mil. and wasnt leaving his home if the price wasnt worth the hassle. Any good coach these days are going to command $2mil where ever they go. its the base line these days..

And its 2.2mil, its not like its going to be missed.

Yeah, he'll probably need a good chunk of that extra money (over and above his previous salary) to be able to absorb the loss that he will sustain over the sale of his just-completed house.

You all DO know about Las Vegas' miserable housing market, right? :rolleyes:
