I'm just not feeling we win the ISU game.

Gosh I want this team to win out and KU get beat so we can have a defacto big 12 title game in Norman. But the way we have played the last 3 games have just not impressed me...especially buddy. I love that we pulled out 2 gutty wins but the 3 games were against 3 of the 4 bottom teams in the big 12. I want to believe that we are just in a rut and maybe we blow up against ISU with a big game. But I feel we really need to shoot good Saturday against TCU to really bring our confidence up. Spangler and Buddy need to get back to dominating their areas of expertise like they had the 5 games prior to the KSU loss. Here's to hoping this team can pull off a hard fought win in Ames...but if we play like we've played the last 3 games...ISU will LIGHT US UP!

Frustrating as it may seem...which is what has happened these last three games. we play to the level of competition. We'll have a shot to beat KU and ISU.

FWIW, Iowa State has won 21 straight home games. Good teams are tough at home.

Lets play TCU first and then worry about ISU. Most have a bad taste in their mouths after the Tech game, even though it was a win, but if we play superlatively well against TCU then maybe your tune will change.

I don't think one game necessarily translates to another. After we dominated UT and WV in wins we followed up by pooping our pants against K-State both times. However I do feel that K-State just matches up well against us this year. I actually have more confidence in watching this team squeak out a close win since we weren't doing this earlier in the season. We got out shot I believe against both UT and Tech yet still found a way to win. Some nights we'll be on and make it look easy but that will not always be the case.

ISU plays worlds better at home and their style of play gets ramped up there. We've gotten blitzed there year after year so while I am hoping we can somehow pull one out losing there won't make or break our season. The game @ Home against Kansas I think will be a much bigger measuring stick for us as we head into post season play.

Well said. We are not a good road team and I State is great at home. Tough matchup. KU is down this year we can win that one at home.

Agree with this. It would be awesome to go in there and pull it off, and if we play like we are capable, we should be there in the end with a chance. But it's hard to be very confident going in there. No shame in losing there though, no team has gone in there and came out with a win in a long time. We can get that kansas game at home though, that would be big.

I'm not ready to throw in the towel just yet. OU beat ISU in Norman by eleven, and in truth the game wasn't even that close. So, it's not that OU can't beat the Clones, it's that they don't lose many games on their home floor.

Having said all of that, if we don't pull off what will be viewed as a mild upset, I won't be disappointed. Not many teams go into Ames and come away with a win. Can it be done? Sure. Ask Maryland and South Carolina.

The South Carolina game was in Brooklyn and the Maryland game was in Kansas City. But you're right, it's not impossible. The pokes about pulled it off when they went there.

I don't think OU will win at Iowa St, they have decent chance with kansas at home

I was gonna post the same thing-- We do seem to play to the level of the competition more often than not. Not a bad thing against great teams, but a little concerning against lesser teams.

I think this team has over achieved all year. That's a credit to the staff.

Very good guards, but our star disappears at times. When he is into it, he is great.

No depth to speak of until recently with Booker finding his game. But still not much with Booker.

A post game that comes and goes offensively. Spangler is there most nights rebounding and defending. But no dominate size for either starter.

I believe Kruger is still building and the future will be brighter...and this year ain't bad!! But never thought they were in the great category. But if the guards would get hot going into the tourney, who knows. But they have struggled gunning all those threes against the tougher defenses.
