Proves how valuable Buddy has been to our success. He's one of only three players (Osby is the other) who is averaging 26 plus minutes. Amath is at a little over 24 mpg, Je'lon is at just over 23. Four other players are averaging from 15.5 to 17.1 mpg.

Our newbies struggled early on, as we knew they would. But, now we're seeing the results of a rotation that has included nine to ten players since the season began. The energy level is remains high, and there has been no sign of the tired legs we have seen in years past.

More importantly (knock on wood) the team has continued to be healthy so far. I have always felt that fatigue often contributed to an increase in the number of injuries. I can't prove that statistically, it's just something that makes sense to me.

We have better depth (quality depth) than any other team in the Big XII, IMO. That's huge and one of the reasons we are able to hang with/beat pretty much any team in the league. Yes, I'm including KU (in Norman).

I still don't understand why Kruger didn't start last years line-up. :vitale

That doesn't surprise me. We just seem to play better on offense and defense when Buddy is on the court.

This link is very telling: http://www.soonersports.com/sports/m-baskbl/stats/2011-2012/teamcume.html#TEAM.IND

Last season Pledger, Osby and Grooms were all forced to play more than 30 minutes a game. Pledger was high at 32.9, Grooms played 31.5 and Osby played 30.2. Fitz (28) and Clark (27.2) both played more than 27 minutes per game. Nobody is playing 27 this year. Neal played 13 minutes per game and played in every game compared to 7.9 this year while not participating in two games.

That really demonstrates the difference in depth this season.
