I have never seen anything like that at a conference tournament not in your home state. I guess they do that all the time.
 
the distance between Ames and KC is a little less than the distance between Tulsa and Dallas.

They always turn out well, but there were definitely more tickets available since Kansas was eliminated.

But I do agree with Denver that it is ridiculous to keep this tourney in KC - even for just 2 more years if so.
 
I'm not sure ISU would have won without that great lift from their fan base. They deserve all the props they get...second best hoops fan base in the conference with no close third. Also, I think Johnny Orr had something to do with those Baylor legs tiring in the second half (along with playing 4 games in 4 days, of course).
