Iowa State should be the Big-12 favorite

Conference is so good

Saw 4 good teams tonight. KU and TCU both without their best players are still money. And K State without their best guy too

Not to quibble but Lawson is not only KU's best player but the best in the conference. But I agree completely with your point, this league is very good even when key guys are missing. Heck, half the time I have to remind myself we've basically been without our starting center for five weeks.

while lawson is KU's best player and going to be 1st team All big12 but

Jarrett Culver is the best player in the Big 12

Debatable. I'd be willing to bet Lawson wins POY, but Culver is the one guy I could see challenging him for it. Culver is definitely the better pro prospect and is more athletic, but Lawson is an unreal college player.

staying pat is easy and safe. go ahead. I still say Iowa State.

And being 0-2 with a loss to Baylor since you said this is why they aren't the favorite

did I say they would WIN the conference? I said they should be the favorite. And I didnt say the next day onward as well. So there.

The conference season is young. There are still 4 or 5 teams that have the capability of winning the conference. And even the conference champion is likely going to lose at least once at home. It's a very competitive conference without much separation in the top tier.

You were wrong. Own it. What you said after 1-2 conference games was incredibly premature. ISU beats KU and is never heard from again.

At most there are two teams that could win it, and of those two, KU probably has about three times better odds.

The KU guardplay has not made me change my mind that someone else will take the spot. My point was ISU had a better roster with the guards. They still do. But it's a tough league.

Two things that would somewhat worry me if I was a KU fan....interior depth and young inexperienced guards (but talented) that don't shoot it very well. They very well may end up winning the Big 12, but it wouldn't shock me to see them losing before the Sweet 16 if they run into a bad matchup (a team with strong guard play and good rebounding).

I’m still waiting for someone to take me up on a bet...

Hey no fair, I was the first one to challenge anyone to a wager on this lol. I'll take KU every day and twice on Sunday unless and until someone actually dethrones them.

If KU doesn't win, it'll be Tech but I'm still going w KU bc they have more ways to score. ISU is a good team -- who isn't in this conference -- but I see no reason not to expect OU to split with them & they'll finish somewhere 3-6 w us, KSU, & TCU.
