They already had a short bench with only 7 players averaging more than 3 minutes per game. Four starters were averaging more than 31.5 minutes per game. Any sort of foul trouble puts them at a huge disadvantage.

Compare to the Sooners who have only one player averaging more than 30 minutes per game (Spangler) and 11 players averaging 7.4 or more minutes per game. 10 guys are averaging 10.5 or more minutes for OU.
