Former OU Players - Starting Lineup

He played two seasons at OU.

His second season at OU, he shot 17% from three. He wasn't getting minutes because he wasn't a very good player.

he also got lost on D all the time

(clearly his issues on D were not because of a lack of athleticism)

Harmon, alondes, and kur make this team exponentially better.

Watched UNC Saturday at Virginia Tech. Manek played the 4 and played great defense. In fact I was very surprised.

Depends who doesn't come.

That probably means no T. Groves, J. Groves, Goldwire, and Maweim.

Kur wouldn't do well in Moser's offense. Period. Not sure how he'd even get/stay on the floor.

Alondes probably comes off the bench, so his impact would be limited.

I just don't see it mattering much.

Kur wouldn't have kept T. Groves away. Why would he? He might have scared off Chargois, but I'm not even sure that's true.

I'd trade Harmon for Goldwire for the extra season we'd get from him, if nothing else, and Williams, flawed as he is, for Groves and Mawein? Sure, I'd take that swap. If JG and AM come alive the next two seasons, that's a different matter, but who knows if they will? And I'm not sure Williams, if he played as well in the Big 12 as he's playing in the ACC (there's no guarantee of that) wouldn't be competing for starting time. He'd certainly be getting plenty of minutes.

Unfortunately, you’re right…..

Yep, he is probably their best player. I don’t think he would have had any eligibility this year had he stayed at ou, though.

correct

i will also say that Mcgusty is an example of a player that was never in "bad" shape but now is finally in elite shape as a college player

and he is much better for it

All ACC Team

Was watching unc last night and they projected Alondes Williams and Kam McGusty as 1st All ACC, with Manek on 2nd team.

Just insane to think about what we lost to the portal the past few years.

Alondes Williams wins ACC Player of the Year. He turned out to be a great player, just wish it was at OU.

He’s always had off the charts athleticism. Him and manek are the guys I wish we could’ve kept.

Nice to see JB playing well. I liked him a lot as a freshman but he had a rough sophomore year. Shooting the three well and money from the foul line this season.

Fun to analyze but every team in America can make a list like this. We are def not the only team experiencing transfers out the wazzoo, esp as we just had a coaching change

And for the most part, none of those guys showed anything close to that at OU. Manek would have gotten his points here, but I don't think the Moser offense was a good fit at all for Williams, and probably not for Harmon either. Williams took A LOT of shots to get his numbers. He wasn't very efficient.
