is there a 5 star guy....

I don't recall where I saw it, but I keep hearing rumors we are about to sign Wilt Chamberlain's great grandson.

Word seems to be the kid is 7' 6", weighs 260 lbs, can bench press 575 lbs, regularly runs the mile in under 3 minutes and 44 seconds, and has been timed in the 100 meters in 8.9 seconds (watch out Mr. Boldt).

In addition I understand the kid dunks by jumping up and standing ON the rim and just drops the ball through the hoop. Only problem is he occasionally gets his arm stuck over the top of the backboard or his foot caught in the net. That has caused him to start working on shooting threes. He has now hit 5,378 in a row - from midcourt.

If all is true, he may be able to lead us to our next championship.

We desperately need a "tongue in cheek" emoticon, or one which depicts a steaming pile of bull dung...;)

Star rankings don't matter. Playing on the court and proving you are a star is what matters.

Terrance Ferguson has backed off his pledge to Bama.

What is his connection to Oklahoma? Also, How is prep school allowed to play sports and not count as eligibility? I guess it's basically a 5th year of high school? Do kids go there who can't qualify for college instead of JUCO? I know some prep schools recruit kids, this is why it makes no sense to me.

It doesn't count for eligibility because it's not college: you don't get college credit like you do for JUCO. You are right, it is basically a 5th year of high school for kids who need one.

While stars aren't everything, this is ridiculous. In both football and basketball it's been shown that the teams that recruit the best are usually the teams that win the most, and compete the most for NC's.

Main reason jucos aren't as good.

We gotta get 2 of any of those listed to take it next level and then make that the norm. Give me 2 50ish ranked players every year and we'll be killing it
