Is This Rock Bottom For the Program?

This upcoming season, if OU doesn't get a couple high-impact transfers, could be VERY. VERY bad. They lose all of their good players. We saw on Friday that without Fears. OU is less than an NIT team. No one they are bringing in will even be close to him. They need 2 or 3 top-level transfers.

And to me this is a fact regardless of who the coach might be. And the only way to get those 2-3 top level players is to open up wallet. I think we can all agree that the team hasn’t had the elite level of talent required to compete at the top of the B12 or SEC. And I don’t think it would be fair to blame that reality on Moser. That’s more of a $$ issue. The debate is whether or not Moser has gotten the max out of what we DO have. And that’s a healthy debate. But without question, the only path to getting to another level will be by paying for it.

We're learning the new reality the hard way. Just like in football, we can't just show up and say "We're Oklahoma".

Not only is it a new conference, it's a new paradigm with NIL/revenue sharing/transfer portal.

Gotta raise/generate/spend $$$.
