It's official: Osby is an All-Big 12 First-Teamer

Awesome. This is well deserved recognition for Ro. :clap:clap:clap

Very nice.
Not a single unanimous member of the first team?

I'm kind of shocked that P. Jackson isn't first team. To lead the conference in points and assists.

A little shocked to see that P. Jackson isn't on first team, but the guy couldn't defend anyone at a nursing home, much less D-1 basketball.

Combine that with his shooting % and his turnovers, and he's not a first teamer, I guess.

Big congrats to Osby.

Also, I think it would be cool if they did a player's vote as well.

I didn't think Osby would be much of an impact player after his first couple years at Mississippi State, but he really developed into a good player over the past three years at OU.

Looking through the All-Big 12 teams, you could have as many as 11/15 gone after this year (Angel Rodriguez, Markel Brown, Melvin Ejim and Amath M'Baye being the only four underclassmen not projected to be drafted this year). Seems like a lot. The Big 12 should be wide open next season.

NBADraft.net has Brown as a top 20 pick

Congrats to Ro! It's really hard for me to argue with any of those selections, but obviously happy for Mr. Osby.

Glad to see our guys get their due! Proud of them... We are going to miss Roe next year, but he has laid a great foundation for our future!:clap

If M'Baye can follow his lead for next year we will have a strong frontcourt.

Yes... I was thinking about this a couple of days ago. Last year it took Osby to really take over and shake the rust off last year, and by the end of the year he was probably our all around best player. This year, Mbaye, may be going through the type of shaping; but the difference is that last year Osby didn't have near the talent around him that Mbaye does this year. That is probably why Mbaye doesn't look as dominant as Roe did by years end. I think Mbaye will live up to hype and as you said, will follow in Roe's footsteps.

I'm with you on this. Since conference play started M'Baye has put up some usefull looking numbers. He has done that with the other big (Osby) being the primary scoring option. Osby should have that role. But, the offense does get Osby the ball in a position to score alot more than M'Baye gets it. If he is up to it, it will be his turn next year.

Congrats to RO, very proud to call that young man a Sooner!

Throwing out the TCU game, he's also shooting 50% from 3 over the last 8 games or so. Developing nicely. My biggest concern with his is whether or not he can rebound consistently.

This isn't a knock on M'Baye. I like him alot. But, he is more of a finese guy than a toughness guy. Spangler is the toughness guy.
