Someone needs to put his big boy underwear on.

Just judging from tweets, facebook status', and the like, last year's team may been the best, or worst, (depending how you look at it) collection of personalities ever assembled.

I kinda feel bad for WW, though. I think he's an alright guy that was immature.

Pooooooor Willie, guy is getting payed half a mil to play the game of basketball. I really feel bad for him, must be a rough life :(

well, there are more girlfriends to steal on a school campus.

I bet Willie's not the only one of the three to have felt that sentiment at some point in the last few months. Not sure why with him though, he's doing fine. Maybe he expected to be a starter somewhere.

Good luck in the D league. Save your money because you might not get another contract.

He deserves to be getting a lot more minutes than he is.

I'm also not sure I understand the Willie animosity from some of you.

I felt this way my first year out of school working as a pharmacist, the bunch I worked for put me in charge of a pharmacy! But as one poster said you just have to buck up and be a grown up. Someone just need to tell Willie that this too shall pass, keep working hard and it will be better next year. He is still pretty young and could use some good advice right now (and listen to it!)

No doubt. Never ceases to amaze me how some hold animosity towards certain guys, while others get a pass.

There are guys who are doing pretty good, who have admitted to feeling the same way early in their careers. Kobe comes to mind. He speaks about wondering if he blew it by going straight to the NBA, and sitting on the bench early in his career.

Obviously WW is growing up as we watch. Hopefully he figures it out, and even if he never becomes an NBA star, he can have a successful career, and use his hoops connects to venture into other arenas. I don't understand how/why any true Sooner fan would wish the kid anything else....

Maybe Willie Warren isn't as good of a ball player as Willie Warren thought he was.

Why all the hate for WW? What did he do to merit hate? I understand TMG and maybe Tiny but WW?

Always loved WW as a player, still do...

I think he will get a chance to stick around in the league for a few years, he could be an excellent PG off the bench with some scoring...he has also shown some good distributing skills in the games ive watched...looks like a solid PG...

Had he come out after his freshman year he would have been a 1st rounder and probably playing a lot of minutes somewhere...the NBA is finicky, things can change year to year and a lot of times it has little to do with talent...

Yeah, Always feeling sorry for himself, I think could have been a better teammate last year. At some point and time You have to grow up and stop feeling like the world is againist you and make something of yourself.

Its not hate...its just frustrating to hear this from TMG and WW when everyone was telling him this. The kids left for no money guaranteed. They were better than that. It hurt them financially and it hurt this program. Again...its not hate, its just frustration.

How many of us had to do that at 20? I was a long way from being mature enough for that at 20. He is still a young guy who is adjusting. I don't understand the WW hate.

I remember Willie saying something about wanting to be an analyst or a sports broadcaster when he gets done playing. At least he has some sort of plan unlike the other two.

Hard to blame Willie totally for what he's going through. These kids grow up wanting to get paid and be heroes in the NBA. They never really follow a college or have any allegiance to a university. That's just a stepping stone to their dream. They burn bridges while in school trying to get to the league as fast as they can, and when they get there, they realize for the first time in their lives that they aren't the best ever, that life is hard, and that they have responsibilities. And then the realization comes that maybe college wasn't as bad as they always thought.

At the same time, Willie has to grow up and live with the choices he made.
