As expected. Thanks for four years. Hope he gets a year like Manek, where he reaches new heights that he unfortunately didn't see here.

Yikes! I really thought he was a Moser guy through and through.

We sure could use a Ruiz about now...

Hill’s defense will be missed. His offense won’t be missed. He simultaneously raises our floor while lowering our ceiling.

Every coach in the country would love Hill because he is a winning player. He clearly didn’t want to stick around for another subpar season. Sadly, I think he is making the smart decision, as much as it sucks to realize that as a Sooner fan.

At 10 ppg, he was the third-leading scorer on the team, half a point per game behind TGroves, who's also gone. The only double-digit scorer remaining (and who knows if he sticks) is Sherfield.

I'd say we'll miss his offense, too.

Good luck to him! He stuck around with Moser for two years and missed the tournament. I hope he goes somewhere that will have some postseason success.

I am guessing UNLV... but there are plenty of good places for him to go and have a great impact.

Hill doesn’t strike me as a guy who would transfer down just so he can be the man on a team that has no chance to make the tourney. I am confident he will end up with a better program than the one he is leaving.

It’s only missed if we can’t get someone better (which may end up happening). There are dozens of better options in the portal rn. We have to improve the talent from last year, and that absolutely includes our 6-6 pf who the other team sags off of defensively because he can’t shoot at this level.

Are there dozens of better options? Players who averaged, say, 16-18 points at whichever lesser program they've been at (because their ppg is bound to drop in the Big 12) and can also be the best defensive player on the team while also providing experience and leadership? Dozens?

Clearly not. The people who don’t recognize his value as a player will be surprised when they see the options he has. Some people fixate on stats and don’t recognize overall value.

Think this one will hurt more than folks think. Not just because he’s pretty decent player but just leadership.. on off the court.

If he trades up, he'll be coming off the bench as a defensive specialist. I'm definitely going to miss his leadership and hustle. What I'm not going to miss are his low-post offensive moves which usually resulted in his shot being blocked.

Regardless, best of luck Jalen. Make your last year of eligibility count, young man.
