Son of Skeeter Henry, committed to New Mexico last year after graduating from Kimball in Dallas, TX. Didn't qualify out of high school and is now out in California at La Jolla prepped (pronounced with an H sound).

He is a 6 foot 8 combo forward that is very skilled. Good handles and great passer. Is on the skinny side though.

Official visit?

Is Henry a better prospect than Chris Washburn?

Isn't he bad news?
I thought I remember several interesting stories about him a year or so ago.

I think the team is better able to handle a difficult player than in past years. That 2012-2013 team would have a lot of strong juniors and seniors to keep him in line.

For those that saw him Saturday, does it look like he has put on any weight? I heard that Skeeter was sporting an OU football jersey and Sooner hat....

When I saw him Friday at practice he looked not so much like he added weight as he had added a bit of muscle...

And not to sepculate but today on twitter he had these little nuggets between him and Carl Blair and Pledger

“@DefenderEater14: S/O to the newest member of #HOD™ @Damn_ImTall go follow the homie... AYECHOOOO!!!”<< already fam

s/o to the OU fam @SPtheGhost2

What the heck did they say? Looks more like alien space talk than any language I'm familiar with. :facepalm

“Carl Blair: Shout out to the newest member of Hoop or Die, Jarion Henry. Go follow him on twitter... AYECHOOOO!!!”

Jarion's response to Blair: You are already family

Jarion to Steven Pledger: Shout out to the OU family

Is that Hebrew or Iroquois?

Whatever it is, it's still 100x easier to read than the stuff TMG used to write. :)

Ada, we definitely need to work on your tweet game. Looks a little soft right now.

:ez-roll: Ya think?

Campbest, I don't twitter, tweet or chirp like a bird whem I'm hungry. I don't even have a Facebook account. Well, actually I opened an account once, but abandoned it a month later when my e-mail inbox was full of too many messages from people I didn't know.

Maybe I'll give tweeting a try someday. For now, though, I would rather rely on guys like you and boksooner to interpret for me. :)

What's the word? Henry on the verge of committing or going to take more visits?

This could get interesting, especially in the city in which I live, among fans of the school that employs yours truly (the University of New Mexico).

For fun, here's a shot I took of Skeeter, playing against said university:

I'm sure I posted this at least once, but I didn't think any OU fans would mind seeing it again. :)

Great pic! Don't overlook Stacey King in the background. Is #32 Andre Wiley?

That is Wiley wearing #32. Good eye.

BTW, I also have pix of both King and the then-just-graduated Harvey Grant posterizing the two Lobo players in Norman, who are shown in this photo. King swatted the portly Rob Loeffel (51) in an emphatic way in the first half of that game. And Grant really posterized the heinous Rob Robbins (#42, and too long of a story to tell why I don't like him) on a fast-break slam in the second half of OU's 120-100 smackdown of the Lobos in early 1988 in Norman.

I really think you should, never understood why people don't embrace it. Just don't follow all of the idiots who spew pointless crap (i.e. 99% of collegiate and professional athletes).
