I think we all knew Trae wouldn’t be around too long. Articles like this and all of the attention he has received on a national scale, will only increase the odds that he will be a high draft pick when the season is over.
The only thing we can do is to support this team and, as CT said, enjoy TY while we can. Who knows, maybe he will use Blake as his inspiration and give us two years instead of one? Not likely if he’s a lottery pick. But I like to dream higher than most, because I know I can handle the disappointment if things don’t turn out the way I hope it will.
Besides, I’m not convinced our hometown boy will be one and done. He surprised a lot of people when he passed on the blue bloods and decided to play for OU. Maybe he’ll do it again when the NBA draft rolls around next spring. Like I said, I’m a dreamer.
