I remember when there was a lot of discussion on this board about Johnny Jones from North Texas taking over for Jeff Capel.... He ended up at LSU instead where he has the #13 overall player and the #1 overall player committed for next year.

Their leading scorer is Jarrell Martin, the #13 overall player in his class, their second leading scorer was the #45 player in his class.

He signed the #56 player last year as well.

On top of that, he is probably going to get that Arizona transfer.

Next year they will have

#1 overall, #13 overall, #13 overall, #45 overall, and #56 overall player.

That is a lot of talent. Will be interesting to see if Johnny Jones turns LSU into a winner.

Top 50 player in Craig Victor is now also headed there.

They lost to Mizzou last night.

He recruited well at North Texas too. Not a good coach.

That was a bad loss, even on the road. Mizzou is so bad this year, Sawyer has gone into hiding for the season.

That talent is impressive but sometimes it can be overrated to have that talent if you don't have the necessary components to make for a good team. OU was very talented the year after Griffin went to the pros. WW, TMG, Tiny, Clark, Crocker, Fitzgerald, and Pledger were all top 100 or borderline top 100 players but that team was one of the worst ever at OU. A lot of it had to do with experience and attitude but it was still a bad basketball team.
