I am a coach at a small school in Kansas, and got a chance to see Buddy Hield tonight at our track meet in Cheney, Kansas. He ran the 800 and got second, while running it in 2:00 minutes with a strong wind blowing. I visited with one of his coaches and she had nothing but great things to say about him. He doesn't train for track, but likes to come and compete and she said that he is a great competitor in everything he does. He was also very courteous and polite, and was wearing OU wristbands. His coach said that he can not wait to get to OU and has nothing but great things to say about Kruger and his staff. I did not realize how big and strong he is. He is very muscular and well put together. I went to visit with him, but he was pretty tired after the race, so I left him alone.
