Man, too bad OKC couldn't have made a deal with Denver for this guy.

7'0'', 280, 22 years old.

Against Philly: 28 points, 20 rebounds, 8 assists, 6 blocks
Against OKC: 17 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists
Against Nets: 17 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists
Against OKC: 18 points, 12 rebounds, 6 assists, 5 blocks
Against Detroit: 19 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists

Geez, Portland only had to give up Mason Plumlee for this guy. They got a franchise center to go with their guards and gave up nothing.

Denver can't be too upset because Nikola Jokic is putting up absurd numbers as well. But maybe they could have gotten more for him.

yeah they found a diamond in the rough. he killed the thunder. He is a great player.

OKC didn't make a deal for Nurkic for the same reason that Portland got him for so little: there is a surplus of quality big men, in an era in which their skill sets are less highly valued. It would be difficult to play Nurkic with Steven Adams; neither one is an outside shooter, and you wouldn't want either one chasing around stretch PFs 20+ feet from the basket on every defensive possession.
