K.D. was at OU's game today and now

No need to attack people

I am glad KD makes people around the state love basketball but don't expect me to get giddy that he came to cheer on his shortwhorns at the LNC. I don't have a problem with him doing it. I just am not going to get giddy on OUHoops.com about it.

This is exactly what I was trying to say.

Uh, NOT a Thunder fan although I watch some of their games. Never been to one yet. Just thought it was neat that he and Westbrook and a few others love basketball so much that they will spend their day off driving around the state to watch it. That's all.

It doesn't hurt to be able to tell recruits that NBA players will come to their games, either.

If Blake Griffin played on an NBA team 30 miles from Austin, he would show up for OU games whenever possible and you guys would think it was awesome! The hypocrisy is strong in this thread.

Not at all.

We wouldn't expect UT fans to support Blake Griffin for coming and openly cheering against UT in their home arena.

Why should OU fans be expected to root for Kevin when he openly roots against OU in OUR home arena??

No hypocrisy at all.

But he seems to go to oswho games much more often. I don't know that for a fact - I'm basing it on the times I've seen him caught on camera at a local college game: it's generally been at GIA.

Besides, he is still a dirty shorthorn

I'm a Thunder fan and I'm happy KD plays for the Thunder...but I couldn't care less if he ever darkens the doors of the Lloyd Noble. He takes every opportunity to bash the Sooners...even though I get it that he was a whorn, I still don't like it that he thinks he needs to take the time to remind Sooner fans. And, I've never heard him bash osu...never! I used to follow him on Twitter and facebook, but not anymore.

Whenever I see Durant I will always think UT first. It also doesn't help that he seems to like trolling OU fans at every available opportunity.

I for one have no problem with KD showing up to see his horns get beat down, I hope he comes back for more.

Furthermore, I will say KD stayed FAR LONGER than tons of OU fans who were streaming out of LNC just after the 4 min timeout, even when his horns were down 15. Geez people, you can't stay an extra 15 minutes and revel in the win over our rival???

This doesn't hurt, the potential 5* DT football recruit posted a pic on Twitter of Durant.

Grandstaff did as well.

Well, all I can say if he is anti OU on everything like some of you all are saying, al the OU folks must not realize it as he was shaking hands and hugging and chatting with Joe C/Lon/all the players/ the strength coach/Toby Keith and everyone else. I also believe it will help football and bball recruiting as those kids want to be laughing it up with KD/Westbrook etc when they come to school. I have seen both of them at a bunch of games, basically every time Thunder doesn't have a game they show up - NOT just the Texas game.

I don't particularly care what KD does on his time off of work. I don't have a problem with him coming to an OU game and rooting for whoever he wants. I don't see the big deal.

He went to the Memphis game earlier this year... and played flag football at OSU during the NBA lockout...KD is a Cowboy at heart.

The bigger question I had, as a TU alumni/fan, is why the heck was Danny Manning there?

I've watched a lot of college basketball over the years, and I'm not sure I've ever seen a current head coach (in a non-tournament setting) attend a game of two other teams. Especially two teams he won't be playing this year.

Seems like he should have been home recruiting, working on game plans, or something different then what he was doing.

Stillwater isn't far from tulsa. Everybody needs breaks from work sometime. I don't see an issue with it

Have you ever seen it happen before though?

His team is fighting for an NCAA birth (thru winning the tourney), and they played the next afternoon.
