Root for Mizzou so we can rush the court if we win Monday Night...then don't ask about our chances of actually winning Monday Night.

Think Mu is up at the half. Had to go pick up my daughter so I've been listening to KU radio(Yuck).

'Bama and Ole Miss in O/T. not a bad game.

This has been a great game. I'm pulling for 6 overtimes. :ez-laugh:

Dang, didn't get my 6 overtimes. Congrats to MU. Hopefully, they celebrate until Monday at 5PM.

Officials do a nice job of showing why it's so damn hard to win on the road in the Big XII. The home team is spotted about 10 points every game.

In the first half, at one time, KU had 7 fouls and MU 1. That was a very unKUlike last two minutes. I don't think TRob even touched the ball.

Robinson did touch the ball. When it was around two minutes left Robinson decided to go to the basket and travel with 25 seconds left on the shot clock, committed a defensive foul on the next possession (which resulted in an and-one), and on the next ensuing possession got called for a charge.

Without doing research on it and just using the eyeball this is so true. Mizzou absolutely benefited from this as does every home team. It's so blatant.

Big XII teams are 32-18 at home this year, and home teams certainly aren't winning 64% of the time just based on the crowd and familiarity factor, so I agree. I don't really feel like doing research on the # of fouls home teams have gotten as opposed to road teams, but if someone else is interested, that would be awesome.

I've seen the research done before. Every Big 12 team has a significant swing in fouls (or free throws, don't remember which it was exactly) in their favor at home vs. on the road. Every team except kansas, anyway. They were the one team that didn't seem to take a consistent beating from the refs on the road.

Fwiw, Mizzou is among the nation's best in not fouling. Home or away hasn't really mattered. Games like the kansas game, where kansas was called for about twice as many fouls, aren't uncommon for us. Quickness will do that for you. Definitely a big difference between this year's team and Anderson's constant hacking (Mizzou was among the most foul-prone teams while he was here).

As I'm sure you'll hear a dozen times tonight if you haven't already, Mizzou has made more free throws this year than our opponents have even taken.

I don't think the officials are intentionally impacting games. I personally think the home crowd creates an environment that impacts the officcials even if they don't want to allow it to impact them. It is simply human nature.

It also impacts the players. You're more likely to make dumb mistakes if you're thinking about the crowd.
