Certainly not a Kansas insider (thank God) but I know that Self showed Thomas the door and I think Appleton may be gone as well.

Okay, here's the KU insider info. Quintrell Thomas and Appleton are transferring. There two spots are taken on your list by Markieff Morris and Brady Morningstar. Also, add CJ Henry to your list and he's a walk-on.
No word on anyone redshirting but it wouldn't surprise me if Releford or Reed did. As far as sitting on the bench there really isn't anyone out of the 14 that couldn't get minutes. Now obviously they all won't but the competition in practice for playing time will be fierce. I can tell you Sherron Collins, Cole Aldrich, X Henry & Marcus Morris will all play big minutes....after that it's a crap shoot at this point. KU could split there roster in two and finish 1-2 in the Big 12 North.

I don't know about CJ Henry...some comments Self has made makes me believe he thinks he can play and help right away. Remember he is like 23 or something and strong and tough. It wouldn't surprise me at all if he beat out Tyrel Reed and, at least early on, he's more ready than some of the younger guys.
