Kansas State.... horrendous team

Good coach, terrible recruiter & player relations.

Young, rebuilding team. I think Nijel Pack ends being a good player...Bradford, maybe.

but yeah, they're terrible right now. They have two guys out but them coming back won't really change their season.

I won't pretend to know what KSU will do but IMO, it's time to move on from Weber.

Has anyone been to their campus? I have not... but for some reason I always envision Manhattan being the worst place in the Big 12. Just a desolate town in the middle of nowhere on the prairie... That may not even be close to reality, but that's what I always think of.

I really liked their campus. IT is beautiful and the bar scene was pretty good.

plus, if i remember right, they have a bowling alley in their student union with a bar

Been there many times. It is not a bad campus. Been to several football and basketball games there. It seems to have become a more popular place than KU for the KS high schoolers in the KC area lately.

Next question is "how bad is Iowa State" as they have been down double digits to KSU for a good part of the game?

If we could sweep ksu and ISU that would be beneficial to the success Of our season. In other words, it would be groovy.

K-State and ISU of 2020 are like the Baylor and Texas A&M of 2000... Basically 4 guaranteed victories. Seems like we haven't had that in awhile.

i'll believe it when i see it. I'll never be comfortable going to ames or manhattan

Ditto. Both those teams will probably end up winning 4 or more league games and I will be pleasantly surprised if we sweep four games from the pair. A week ago, people were debating whether KSU would go winless, and yet they started league play with a road win.

Worth noting that Rudi Williams for KSU is starting to come on... 16 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists against Milwaukee and 10 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists against ISU on the road. 5-7 from the 3pt line during that two game stretch. Came out of NEO in Miami, OK.

Davion Bradford has come on the last two games for Kansas State as well... Nice looking prospect at 7'0'' 265 as a freshman... 18 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 blocks against Milwaukee and 14 points, 4 rebounds against Iowa State.

Maybe Weber has something developing up there all of a sudden...

ISU is the laughing stock of the conference until further notice.

I haven't checked on everyone else though.

I don't believe KSU and I-State are just going to roll over and allow other teams to beat up on them for they will both fight and play aggressive ball and they will come away victorious against some of their opponents.

Lon's record in Ames and Manhattan as OU's coach is 1-17. It will be a long time before I'm ever confident entering either building.

Wasn't that win in his first or second year? I remember early on thinking he coached well against KSU, but that has since vanished.

The win in Manhattan was in his first year. We've lost eight in a row up there since. And, obviously, our last nine in Ames.

We're dreadful on the road in conference play. No two ways about it.

I don’t remember the year (‘10 or ‘11, iirc), but it was the game where Pledger went berserk.
