According to this:

@ryaber: #Sooners Khadeem Lattin is on the long list of players who filed early for this year’s NBA Draft. Has until May 24 to withdraw

As most JRs should. Get the info on what you need to improve on, what the scouts want from you, go back your senior year and get it done.

Your explanation makes a lot more sense than Khadeem being serious about declaring for the NBA draft.

With how many kids that declare for the draft, I'm curious how much info they really get out of this

I'm guessing it all depends on if Lattin is included in the 70-80 players that get invited to the combine May 9-14. I bet those players get some good feedback.

It's the same thing that MyKyle McIntosh from Illinois State is doing, except he has announced he intends to transfer if he returns to school. He's the grad transfer currently at the top of OU's list.

hilarious to read, but nothing wrong with doing due diligence. that being said, if lattin even sniffs getting a summer league team spot i will eat my shorts. will play overseas and have a blast getting paid to play a game. quite a life

yup...didn't Hollis make like 300K a yr for 10 yrs? sounds good to me.

i always go to Hollis as my prime example of players that got snubbed from the NBA. I think the NBA has def become more open to players that lack prototypical athleticism/size and if hollis came out these days, he would have been given a shot.

Lucas from OSU played for the rockets for a number of years and I think he compared to Hollis pretty well, I think Hollis was even better however.

really wish Hollis had gotten his shot. one of my faves

exactly. a lot of these guys still make a nice living NBA or not. and then you get some like Ricky Grace who become fixtures in their new country and household names there to top it off.

I agree on Hollis getting NBA snubbed. I also thought Ace McGhee would make a team....and also Taj Gray. But sometimes you got to be at the right place at the right time.

This seems to be more true of the NBA than the other major sports leagues. It very much depends upon who drafts you.
