Do you think a coach the magnitude of Donovan takes that job 7 years earlier? Doubtful.
The magnitude of Donovan? His resume was Pitino's assistant and two okay years at Marshall. Not a lot of head coaching skins on the wall before the Florida job.
Do you think a coach the magnitude of Donovan takes that job 7 years earlier? Doubtful.
Don't dodge the question bro.
Seriously. Do you consider that roster (Robinson, Hardaway, McGary, and Burke) comparable to this roster? Please tell me your post was in jest.

You asked for a team so I gave you one. Didn't say the rosters were comparable. But you also foolishly said OU's players weren't recruited by meany.
Dodge what you think younger teams can't win games when the whole squad isn't a Kentucky class ? How many years you want to go back ? Nova in 09 with our own Scottie Reynolds won a couple games with a bunch of freshman then went elite 8 the next year.
There is no way those Ohio U players were as highly recruited as the players on this OU team.
That's 1.
They weren't and I stand by my statement.
How many players do we have on this team recruited by programs like KU and how many on that Michigan roster? It's not even close.
Who cares if Memphis recruited Woodard? Memphis is on the same level as us right now, a decent program. Marquette didn't even make the NCAA or NIT this year. Clark was recruited by some decent programs but he was a nobody until last year and he's way undersized for his skillset.
Heck, Fitzgerald was recruited by Pitino at Louisville. Do you think he would have contributed on any of their teams? HECK NO!!
That's 1.
Probably not but I bet it's closer than you think.
Tourney success also depends on matchups but that's getting off track. He said "tons" not me.
Reynolds was highly recruited and if I remember that team had quite a bit of talent. It was young but good talent. Which roster would you choose? That Nova team or ours?
Anyway, you originally said "tons". You need to name more than just Nova who I will give you but it's a stretch.
Marquette made the Elite 8 last year and the Sweet 16 the year before that. Memphis continues to recruit well but still not sure about Pastner's coaching.
PERSONAL
Born in Long Beach, Calif. ... Mother is Sheila Hornbeak ... Has an older sister ... High school teammates included Isaiah Austin (Baylor) and Jamal Branch (St. John's) ... Chose OU over Houston, South Florida and Texas Tech ... Major is business management.
Hardly recruited? lol
Woodard had a Memphis offer.
Hield had interest from bigger schools, but committed to OU pretty early. Top 100 kid though.
Cam was a top 60 kid. Don't recall the offers.
Spangler had an offer from Zaga.
Hornbeak had some solid offers (UT, Marquette).
None of that stuff is a "reason" to accept the loss tonight.
The biggest problem right now is our identity. Specifically, the lack of defense.
Where is Marquette this year? Last year is in the past and Buzz is living off the Indiana coaches success it appears. He's about to be out of a job in a few years.
WT was wrong anyway. Marquette isn't listed in his bio:
It's a stretch that you say our guys have no talent in comparison to any other major school ? Villanova does not recruit at a much higher level the we do sorry. And you remember that team had talent because they had a run which was a final four one the next year not elite 8, sorry I'm going off the top of my head. They were also a 12 seed the year they got to the Round of 16. If you think Dante Cunningham was all world then we ll just have to agree to disagree.
LOL, just stop.
Marquette didn't recruit Hornbeak. His bio on Soonersports says he chose OU over "Texas Tech, Houston and South Florida".
