Kruger is a terrible tourney coach

Meh, I'm sorry your clearly wrong.

No way he lists Tech, Houston, and South Florida on his bio if he was truly recruited and offered by the Marquette or the schools on that rivals page.

He probably doesn't right his own bio. lol. And maybe those were the schools he was down to. Maybe some of the bigger schools pulled their offers before Hornbeak could visit/commit. There are lots of reasons. Maybe the offers came in late.

There is no way Marquette wasn't a player when I can provide links to 2-3 places that say they were.

Oh, and it's "you're", not "your".

maybe he appreciated the schools enough to list them because of his experience? How do we not know that Enda Feinberg of OU's marketing department wrote the bio and didn't know the prestige levels of college basketball schools. WHY THE HELL ARE YOU READING THE BIOS.

You don't? It's like reading someone's resume.

Kruger did not lose this game. Not making shots did. We took 21 more FG attempts and make 2 fewer FGs than did the Bisons. We only missed 5 FTs but missed 3 of 6 the last two minutes of regulation. BTA we shot 40% (12-30) and 30.9% (13-42) ITA were blocked 6 times. We got destroyed in the paint despite winning the offensive board 18-6.

We lost the boards by 1. We had 5 fewer TOs, 2 more assist and 4 fewer PFs, They had two starters foul out. If you can't put the ball in the hole you normally get beat.

Myopic much? We lost the game because we trusted the game and the style we played. The reason we made fewer FGs on more attempts has everything to do with the shots we took (which result from the offense we run). Check the ADS stats. I guarantee that NDSU had at least a 6' advantage. They were taking shots in the lane while we settled for jumpers. Whose offense created layups and whose created jumpers? We did well this year but lets not absolve all the blame when we lose to an inferior team and our plan goes awry.

You don't present any facts to support your opinion. Baseless.

What are you talking about? I quoted his official university bio which is comprised of info which he supplied. That's more trustworthy than people like James Hale reporting xyz recruited so and so.

It's not a resume it's a bio.

Same thing but obviously you don't know that. The personal portion of the bio comes from information the player provides. If he had offers from all those big schools why isn't he listing them? He didn't have offers is why. Nothing wrong with that he's still a good player and I'm glad we have him but let's not make this roster to be something it's not just because we lost tonight.

It's amazing to me the lengths that some will go to, to marginalize the talent on our roster. And these same people will claim how great the same players are during recruitment when it suits their argument.

Yep.

And these same people proclaim a team we swept is the better team. Or is that an entirely different group of people?

Honestly, I really don't follow recruiting so if you are talking about me you are wrong. You need to read the whole thread before you make a jack wagon out of yourself. This whole deal started when Mercedes stated "tons of young teams make runs". I asked him to list some but not to list teams loaded with burger boys but teams with rosters full of players hardly recruited. I should have added to that "by top tier programs" but in my haste I forgot. We have decent talent but not to how we played this season. Due to coaching we attained more than our talent is truly capable. That's pretty evident to most people especially in this market (KC). That's all the media here has talked about is how Kruger has done a masterful job this year.

Then, I am guessing you would agree that we ended our season losing to a more talented team? Because I can't accept that.

I've never said that.

I don't care what you can accept quite honestly.

Just like the Wichita State coach said today, college basketball has changed. Gone are the days where a handful of teams advance to the final 4 every year. Once you get past Kentucky, Kansas, Duke, UNC and a handful of others the remainder have talent that is very similar. All it takes is favorable matchups and a team to get hot and they can make a run. This was a bad matchup for us. Plain and simple.

I will tell you this. Their center was better than ours and so was their PG. Braun wasn't as good as Clark but that team is not a bad team.
