Kruger watched Jordan Woodard tonight

Getting him is a must for this team. We need to start wrapping up local talent and letting them know OU is THE place to come for high in state guys. The state does not produce a lot of talent but when it does we need to get guys like Woodard to come to OU

Woodard.

Memphis Coach was in attendance also as Jordan Woodard scored 24 points last night.

I've said this a couple times but we really need to start our 2013 recruiting class with Woodard and Juwan Parker and build from there. Woodard will be the bigger need because we will be losing Grooms and Blair, but it would also be a shame if we lost out on Parker. I think he's going to be an absolute stud.

The state of Oklahoma produces its fair share of BBALL talent... Get a list going of OK kids and you will be not be disappointed.

Having Woodard, Hornbeak, Parker, and Hield, all as frosh or sophs, would be a HUGE start to getting OU back where we belong. That may be as talented a set of guards as OU has had in a long time. Reminds me a little of those Tulsa teams of several years ago. They had 3-4 guards that would just get after you at both ends of the court. Those four guys that have ability. And they all have good size. No midgets in that group.

One of the recruiting guys on twitter said the Jordan got an offer from Memphis last night

Heard that 2013 PG Jordan Woodard of Edmond Memorial picked up an offer from Memphis after they watched him vs Norman last night #okpreps

We have offered. He needs to take it soon. Hopefully he isn't mad that his brother wasn't recruited by us. Of course no other big 12 schools recruited him either.

Whoever we take will have a chance to be a 4 year starter in Norman. It would be great if it was Jordan. I agree with the importance of recruiting the in state kids.

OSU offered his brother. Everyone states the importance of recruiting the in state kids but we have let a lot of them get away.

1. I don't like recruiting state kids just to recruit state kids. We're in the middle of a very good period for HS basketball players in the state. The talent we have now isn't always this high though. The years it is down, I don't want to chase after borderline D1 kids just b/c they are the best in the state.

2. OU has recruited the state pretty well in the past. Usually if we lose a kid we're after hard, it's to either a program like Duke/NC/KU/UK/UCLA, or OSU. Nothing we can really do about either of those situations. We do NOT lose a lot of in state kids that we recruit hard to other schools though. We just don't. I could list all the in state talent we've recruited over the years, but that has been done before. And people still suggest we haven't recruited it well.
