Congrats to Lon Kruger College Basketball HOF

Man. The lengths some of you go to eff up a thread. Unreal.

I know :-(. If it had been someone who was a borderline troll, I could somewhat understand to micro-analysis of the wording...but vbdad? He's always been a standup poster.

Let's get it back on track now. I knew Lon Kruger was going to be a HOF coach after what he accomplished at KSU. In his first year there, he won at Lloyd Noble. For you youngsters, OU lost two games at Lloyd Noble over the course of SEVEN full seasons ('83-'84 thru '89-'90) - and one was to Coach Kruger. His second year coincided with the best OU team of all time (and yes, we lost at KSU), and KSU went to the Elite Eight.

I was surprised he would leave his alma mater so soon, but left for Florida and took them to the Final Four. He then steered Illinois back on track, took UNLV to the Sweet 16, and we know what happened at OU.
