I would say the development and recruiting of other Big 12 programs has been better than what LK has done at OU. OU is looking like a middle or back of the bus program right now.
Wow. A lot of talk about LK's recruiting so far, when he hasn't even filled his second class. I'm going to guess that next season our roster will have more top 100 or top 125 kids than 75% of Kelvin's rosters. And Kelvin did just fine. LK doesn't need Blake Griffin or Willie Warren to put OU in the Dance. And honestly, 2-3 years from now, I think LK will go snag us a top 40 recruit. We'll be fine. You know how hard it must be to recruit top tier talent right now to OU? Look at our past 3-4 seasons. Not really fair to evaluate recruiting right now, but I actually think he is doing a pretty solid job.
I feel about Lon just as I did the day he was hired and that is we are very lucky to have him and he will get our program back on solid ground.
I can't wait for this next season to see how much we improve.

At your age, how much longer can you afford to be patient?LK is an excellent hire. I have no doubt about the program's future with him in charge.
He's a build the program the right way coach. No quick fixes that could leave us sucking air to survive at some point, the way our former coach did. That may not be fast enough for some fans, but it suits me just fine. Maybe that's because age has taught me to be more a lot more patient than I used to be.![]()
