The only reason I think that WV also has a fairly decent chance to advance to the Sweet 16 (if they get by their 1st round game)....is that their opponent would only have one day to prepare for their press. I think that would be a tough task...even for some good teams out there.

If they get a 7 seed or better, I think their first round opponent is going to have trouble with their press. They won't like have the guards to deal with it. The second round opponent should have pretty good guards but only 1 day. However, I could also see WVU losing in the first round due to foul trouble and the fact they don't shoot very well.

Good point, and one I agree with. WVU has the talent to compete with most of the teams they'll play. They also have a lot of depth, which will bode well for them in a quick turnaround tourney format. I would definitely add them to this list.

I actually think the Big 12 will underachieve in the Dance. Now, I reserve the right to change my mind 5-6 weeks from now, but right now, that would be my guess.

I don't. Much better defensive conference from years past. Defense gets you past round 1 and often 2.

And sometimes a lack of offense holds you back. KSU can't score it. OU doesn't consistently score it. UT can't score it. KU doesn't score it like they have in the past. OSU can't score it. And WVU isn't a good offense UNLESS they are getting transition buckets.

We'll have to let it play out, but I'd be surprised if the Big 12 was thought to have one of the top couple of showings, conference-wise, in the Dance.
