Am I right in thinking that we have one scholarship available this year and will have only one additional next year? If so, that is not enough to recruit the talent necessary to get us out of this mess even assuming that Capel can recruit great talent.

As it stands right now we have one Scholly available for next season, two are available with Cade and Ahmed, but Goff takes one. The following season we will have one as well, Washington and Thompson will graduate, but Richie Peters gets one of those. That's assuming there are no changes to the Roster between now and then.

Technically TJ Taylor and Osby count for this year, both are using they're redshirt year.

So next year will be two new players, Goff + 1. If hardick transfers, since everyone wants him to so badly, it will be 3.

Well, this whole board was wrong about Marquise Carter. Durant signed with an SEC school, but has obviously not been good.

But, thats not to say Talley wont be good.

What are the rules regarding redshirting freshman like TJ? If he doesn't play any game this year and decides he wants to transfer does he have to sit out a year at another D1 school? Obviously that would be a major deterrant because that player would only have 3 years to play after redshirting 1 year and sitting out 1 year as a transfer.

You're right we all were. That's why we don't offers scholarships. I will say that the juco guard from Howard College that I thought was total garbage is having a great year at Utah, though they're pretty bad.

Everyone seems to think he'll get forced out after this season. Remember, after last season we had a hard enough time getting enough guys to field a full roster this season...
