Well since this post they've come back and made it a 4 point game Still doesn't change the fact that they were down 18 to Charlotte midway through the 3rd. Still down by 4 in the 4th.
It's coming together. Metta moved to the 4. Jamison to the pine. When it's all said & done the go to lineup will be Nash, Meeks, Kobe, Metta & Howard. That's 4 shooters on the court to space the floor with Howard.

They cranked up the defense and only allowed 20 points over the last 18 minutes.
That's what should give the Lakers a chance. They should be able to score like the old Suns for 40 minutes but also have multiple legit defenders + Kobe's ability to iso when needed. That might be enough to push them over the top.
Watch out for Meeks. I think he's going to become their 3 point specialist. It will be interesting to see if they trade Gasol or just use him in certain situations. I don't see him being part of the go to lineup.

Earlier this season I told someone, either on this board or the LT board, the Laker bench would be much better just because of Meeks, and Hill. Both are energy guys, and Meeks can flat out shoot it. Wasn't sure about Jamison but with Meeks playing so well, it's a no brainer to move MWP to the 4 and get Meeks in the line up early and often......
