I think he is showing signs of being special. I am very pleased to this point. What do you guys think?

Agreed, but I get scared when I see it, too, since NBA scouts can see the same thing, and they have no problems drafting big athletic guys who aren't ready to contribute immediately.

I think he shows a lot of promise and talent, however before anyone worries about the NBA.................. He needs to eat some Double Meat Double Cheese burgers and chase it with large milk shakes.

Agreed, a lot of upside and talent with this young man!

I couldn't agree more about Khadeem's progress. I said on another thread last night that he continues to get better with every outing. I think he has the potential to be a star someday.

He was taking and making shots like it was old hat. Good to see since he will be one of the faces of the future and we also need some punch off the bench.

He was turning and shooting over people from mid range. Anyone remember Harvey Grant.

Lattin's main strength is his knack for rebounding the ball. If his short range jumper starts to fall on a consistent basis, his contribution could be huge this season. I'll add that his length is bothering people on defense, too.

I love the things I'm seeing out of our true freshman post player right now!

I have watched a lot of OU basketball and I have seen very few bigs that can turn and shoot like Lattin has been doing. He seems completely comfortable shooting the mid range jumper. Harvey did that so well that Phil Jackson started to call Horris Grant Harvey.

If the coaches can teach hin some low post, back to the basket moves, he is going to be very difficult to stop.

What amazes me about Lattin is he stills looks so uncoordinated and awkward so often during the game, but then I'll see him hit a turn-around midrange jumper against solid defense and it will surprise me every time.

Honestly, I think he is an in-state kept secret at this point. Not talked about AT ALL by anybody outside our fan base, and I love it. He showed me (although against a way inferior team) in the ORU game that he may have the highest ceiling of anyone on our roster. Put 15-25 lbs of muscle on and we have an all conference player I believe

I am pleasantly surprised about Lattin's midrange shot, but I'm really impressed with his offensive rebounding. Both he and Thomas both have 11, but Thomas has played over 3 times as many minutes. He has a nose for the ball that all great rebounders have!

I had said on an earlier post that Lattin reminded me of Harvey Grant. They have a similar build - albiet when Grant go to OU he was two years older - and they both have a great knack for getting their hands on the ball. I'd love to see a 1-3-1 press with Lattin on top, Cousins and Hield on the wings. That could be a great defensive change-up. Seems like Lon has even run that trap a time or two since he has been in Norman.

I agree with most of what has been said about Lattin, but his defense, combined with the jump shots on display against ORU has the makings of a strong all-around player.

I completely disagree. I think at times he looks a bit confused or like he is pressing but not uncoordinated. Confusion and/or pressing might be described as awkward by some but I would only use that word if you mean mentally rather than physically.

This kid is going to be really good.

He is already very good....just needs some court time. There would have been plenty of years OU would have been happy to have him starting.

I'm not doubting the kid's talent now or what he will be in the future. When I said it surprised me - it's always a good surprise.
