With the football team looking like garbage, I'm even more excited for basketball season to start. Tough tests early, but looking forward to some good non-conference games

get ready for the flood of the same sentiments now that the football team lost again

I am excited for basketball. Wow, maybe the best kicker in college misses 2 easy field goals. Both losses have also had Knight throwing pick 6's. I know a NC is out. OU still has a chance to win the Big 12.

That would be really hard since KSU would need to lose 3 games

Very disappointing loss today, but the team hardly looked "like garbage." Hunnicutt has even an average day, instead of the worst of his career, and we win that game.

Me, I've been excited about the basketball season for months. It's not either/or for good OU fans, and trashing the football team doesn't build the basketball team up.

You are dreaming?? The winner of TCU and KSTATE probably wins the Big 12.

OU offense is going in the wrong direction.
OU offense coordinators: Leach -> Mangino -> Chuck Long -> Wilson -> now Heupel.
Stoop was too prideful to rehire Mangino. He needs to get another experience offensive coordinate to help Heupel. Heupel was a good quarterback but not creative enough to be offensive coordinator. We will never sniff another championship if offense is not being creative.

TCU is the other way around. They already have stout defense, now their offense is picking up.

I don't buy the excuse that we lost our fullback and Bell was injured. That is why we can't not get a touchdown on 3rd and inches. We had the fullback and Bell when we were fourth and one at TCU, we got stopped too. Both of those teams knew that we would go straight the middle and stopped us. Play calling was not creative enough.

Not correct. Stoops would have hired Mangino but was prevented by Boren and Castiglione bc of the details of Mangino's exit at KU.

Stoops is a mediocre head coach. It's been apparent for years. His brother Mike is not even mediocre. It's funny to hear people blaming the OU offensive coordinators for a decade. News flash, it's not them. It's Boob.

Fans have *****ed and moaned about every single one of those coordinators (except Leach, he wasn't in Norman long enough). Every last one of them.

i think some should look up the definition of mediocre before they use it in a sentence...

Nope. Wilson was a great Offensive mind. Look at the offense under him, barring when we had a WR (Paul Thompson) playing QB from 2006-2010. I know we had some freak athletes but we had a record setting offense

Thompson only played qb in 05 then was replaced by Bomar. When Bomar got booted off the team he moved from WR back to QB for the 06 season only.

The football team has alot of young starters. Next year you have Shepard and Green-Beckham. Mayfield will be competing against Knight. Not sure if Shannon has another year. OU will be better next year. Yes, OU has a chance for Big 12. Stranger things have happened. W Virginia beat Baylor.
