Peyton seems to more frequently have games when she cant hit anything than I'm used to. She is such a good player that she works very hard to do everything else really well to help make up for that, but we really need her scoring if for no other reason than to make people guard her helping to free up a shooter.

It occurs at a time when Maddie was shooting well. In the six games prior to her injury, Maddie was 32 of 68 from the field (47.06%) and 16 of 28 from three (57.14%). That kind of shooting is difficult to replace.

Peyton over the past eight games (the same six with Maddie plus the two since) is 35 of 104 (33.65%) and 11 of 41 from three (26.83%).

Chelsea has helped in the last three (14 of 32 for 43.75% from the field) with some shooting from the three (6 of 12 for 50%). Gioya has caught fire a little in the past four (18 of 34 from the field for 52.94%, 5 of 12 from three for 41.67%). Derica has stepped up big time in the past couple with a key three in each.

Watching the game and looking at the minutes played by Peyton, I wonder if she isn't wore out. All her shots seem short.

That is what I think. Double Overtime Tuesday for all 50 minutes, then away game shorthanded again on Saturday. Hope she gets her legs back with no midweek game this week. Valuable on defense, but we need her points.

This is what I've suggested on another thread. Hopefully she can rest some over the next six days.

I don't expect Maddie or TT back, so we will need some decent scoring out
of Peyton.

Yep. If the front of the rim would've been the center of the rim, Stu would've dropped 30 on Tech. Just didn't have the legs to get em there last night.
This week will be good for her. Get some rest and hopefully be ready to roll on Saturday.

Doesn't every team get one 'week off', meaning no midweek game, during conference season? Ours has come a little late in the season and it's well-deserved.
