Liz Scott Cleared to Play

Listed as a 6’2 forward.... I’m not sure there’s any where to play her but in the paint.

Well, Baylor's Nina Davis was 5-11 as I remember, and Iowa State's Thompson (?) was 5-10, and they led the Big Twelve in boards.

Edit. Seanna Johnson, not Thompson. Career ave, 8.7 rebounds per game. Led the Big Twelve as a soph with 9.2, second as a junior at 9.4

If she's as good as predicted, I'm hoping she will be the answer at post/forward for us. She's a thick, solid, strong-looking player that we need to be productive. Maybe if she provides consistency down low our team will continue to improve upon last game's effort. If we play like we did last game against LSU or better we will win several games IMO.

Any infusion of talent into this roster is great news.
A 6-2 infusion of talent is amazing news.

I see Scott didn’t play today, any reason given as to why?

No reason mentioned by Sheri in postgame. But she did talk about how unconventional and difficult Drake center was to guard with the way they screen outside, cut to the basket and then post up. So my guess is with only a week to practice at full speed they didn't think Scott was ready for Drake. I would have liked to see her play a little late in the 4th quarter...just to continue to get used to the speed and physicality of play.

The Drake center is just one of many centers having great games against us this year. We may be able to offset that with our multiple scoring options.

Tend to agree with this.
